Olympic Aspirant - Sailing
Support
Firstly, I'd like to extend my warmest thanks to those who have supported me already over the years, your generosity has kept this dream alive!
A successful Olympic sailing campaign costs around $60 000 a year. I am fortunate enough to receive a number of grants and scholarships, however there is still a large gap in funding remaining. I am looking to raise $15 000 by end of June 2020. I'd be incredibly grateful if you'd consider becoming a supporter of this Olympic campaign. There are a few ways in which you can do so:
-
Direct donation; If you do not require or cannot claim a tax deduction you can donate directly to:
Mara Stransky's Olympic Fund, BSB 064 133, Acc# 10550038
-
Via the Australian Sports Foundation's tax deductible donation scheme, site: https://asf.org.au/athletes/mara-stransky/
You will receive a receipt from the Australian Sports Foundation which you can include in your 2019/20 tax return. All Australian donations over $2 are tax deductible.
-
As a sponsor; I would be thrilled to be a part of this type of mutually beneficial arrangement. If you own, partner in or otherwise know of a business that might be interested in sponsoring me, please email me at marastransky004@gmail.com for more information.
I am known for stretching meagre budgets to fit a lot in so every dollar really does count! Your contribution, however large or small will facilitate an important step on my path to the Olympic Games.
Thank you once again for your support.

After 3 seasons in Europe on a shoestring budget, I know I can make it work but am excited by the possibilities of a time when I can focus all my attention on the task at hand.
On this pictured day, one of my teammates and I found ourselves up at 4am traipsing to a far flung train station in rural Italy, catching a train, two flights and two busses to get to the World Championship's venue. We actually had a lot of fun that day and it's a story we still tell often but as we work tirelessly to reach professional levels in other aspects of the sport, it seems a logical aim to be the ones in the venue training early, rather than the ones with only our inability to afford replacement flights enabling us to sprint through Frankfurt airport and make our connection!
